In a recent study of over 1 million Search engine results the team at backlinko.com came out with some interesting results, the study was specifically to find correlations of what makes sites rank in 2017, what might have surprised some was the number one ranking factor.
Now it's important to note that just one strategy will not hold search results long term, sure we can manipulate Google for a time.
In fact, i used to make a living doing just that, but in the past few years i have been doing that less and focusing instead about the audience and quality of content rather than the latest, greatest SEO tactic that makes the hobbyists say “oooh, ahhh, that's clever” and run around their groups shouting about what they know as if it makes them somehow seem smart in front of their peers.
Over the years i have seen some quite brilliant and quite “daft” serp manipulation ideas (and probably created more than my fair share of them too) but today, it's not the way i think or do things except for perhaps with our Vid Attack Alpha software which just plain works and probably always will.
That does not mean however that i do not look for “fast ethical solutions” and in today’s post, i am going to show you a couple of ways that we can speed-hack the Number One Ranking factor ethically and safely and i may throw a bone for the grey hat SEO’s too
Ok so what is this number one ranking correlation factor in Brian Deans 1 million serps analysis?
It's the Number and quality of domains linking into your content. I mention quality of domains linking in because that’s hugely important too.
What can we do to get links from the maximum number of quality domains in the shortest period of time and do it in a “white hat” way?
Here are two very simple solutions that come to mind right away...
Press Releases are a great way to get the number of referring links and from quality websites, but ONLY IF you use a high quality distribution network.
Memberships like newswire, press cable, press advantage, marketers media are great examples but you do need to be able to write your press release and if you are not that “clued in” on how to do that you may find that it gets rejected a few times before it can get distributed.
The easier way to do this is to have someone do it all for you from start to finish, in the video i do mention a service i was approached about that does exactly that and has options for 200 or 400 links depending on the package chosen. They write it and distribute it and you can review it first before it gets sent to the newswires.
The second option of content syndication may seem old school (and open to blackhat spamming) but bare with me…
It's perfectly normal to want to distribute your content around social networks right?
It’s OK to do this with the same content too
The reason for doing content syndication is to get more exposure for your content
People repurpose their content all the time and not with the thought of black hat spamming in mind
So how do we do this with speed and one piece of content ethically?
Video sharing sites!
Simple and easy solution and there is absolutely nothing wrong if you have a Video that's on multiple platforms like YouTube, Daily Motion, Vimeo and a bunch of other “high quality” video sharing sites.
Now here’s where you can get an extra boost…
In the press release you can embed a video, this can be done with the same video and linking through to youtube and in the YouTube description you have a link to your main content…
I find this works best with just ONE link in the video description and i will explain why later and how we can go and add more links to social profiles etc later without dropping rankings.
Add your video to YouTube first, before you do any further video sharing site distribution and include your YouTube video embed (or just plain link) in the press release
Once the press release has been distributed you should get a list of sites where it has “live links”.
Now high quality press releases really should be a syndication system of it's own from one main domain but that's not always true, even with the best distribution networks so what we can do is check the rankings for your title and see what site that has your PR on it is ranking highest.
Then when we start to do the rest of the video sharing sites with our video syndication we link in the description to your main content and the press release and if you like you can also link back to the YouTube URL but that link is in the press release already.
Now for the Grey hats here’s what you can do from here…
There are sites like crowdsearch.me and it is being used by a bunch of SEO’s who swear by the strategy it uses.
That strategy is for people to find your content or your video in the search results for specific keyword phrases and click through and dwell a bit on your content
Does it work?
Hell Yeah!...In fact we have been doing this since 2014 and we even built a software (Vid Attack Alpha) to do it back then too which is still on the market today, long before sites like crowdsearch existed.
In fact we used to use mechanical turks to get the job done until Vid Attack Alpha was created.
Now here’s what's interesting and why we use only ONE link in the YouTube Video description. We accidently found that the link in the video description will rise in the search results for the keyword phrase we do the click through rates on for the video.
We tested this multiple times and we even found that it's a great way to move content that may appear to be stuck in the serps too.
So by using a combination of:
High volume referring domains from high quality press release distribution
Video sharing site syndication from the top video sharing sites
High Click through rates on multiple keyword terms using Vid Attack Alpha
One link in the YouTube Video to your blog or landing page
We are able to create a fast and simple system for a major boost or kickstart in rankings.
Now, let’s be clear here before you run off and start doing this…
You NEED quality content to begin with to keep rankings
When people come to your sites from the search results if they bounce off quickly you're rankings will drop dramatically and fast unless the content fits the search query and it's worther people spending their time to read or watch that content
The strategy is great for a kickstart
Interactivity is STILL NEEDED (comments, social shares etc)
Ok so you have a solution to the number one ranking factor, and another major ranking factor too if you are willing to be a little grey hat.
Just some final pointers and thoughts before we finish up…
You should have your blog connected to your social accounts like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Google plus so that it is automatically distributed when you post a new article.
This can be done with wordpress plugins or even with IFTTT
Video distribution can be done with creating accounts on each video sharing site and using IFTTT for some sites (Social Synd Alpha can set this up for you too) and even our Video Synd Alpha software for some sites as it has 8 sites that we can distribute to as well as automated account creation in one click.
You can otherwise get accounts done on fiverr.com which does have gigs for video sharing distribution and IFTTT set up.
Press Releases costs vary from network to network, usually around $297.00 for 10 press releases per month with the high quality memberships.
To get a service to write and distribute for you i have an offer from a colleague right now for 400+ links distribution for $97.00 and for 200+ links for $55.00. There is no buy button it can be sorted if you connect with me in one of our skype groups or via support.
Vid Attack Alpha costs $147.00 for two computer licenses right now on a special offer, it has been recently updated and all working fine. With this tool you can add multiple search terms and just leave it running but you do need some proxies or even HideMyAss app open and active.
Social Synd Alpha for advanced IFTTT SEO is on sale at $197.00
Video Synd Alpha is the same price too.
All Alpha SEO tools have multiple other tools included with them and always with automated account creation tools for bulk accounts in one click.
Yes they can and are used as black hat tools by many but they can also be used for white hat stuff too, it's up to you how you use the tools.
Links to our Alpha SEO Tools are in the sidebar on the right Under "My Premium Products" section.
