Project66 enters day three and the cool thing is that after we have this part done we can start to send traffic to build an email list!
Everything you have seen so far could easily be done in one day but as this is the “one thing a day to form a habit” type of approach we have deliberately created steps that would be daily tasks and not overly hard to do.
If you’re behind at this point it’s not a big deal, I understand that there may be a learning curve in creating videos or creating offers if it’s not something that you are used to doing, but the important thing is that we are creating a resource you can visit at any time.
It’s my job to show you how easy it is to make money as an affiliate and I believe that when you see lists being built, commissions and sales being made with very little effort, that you will revisit any steps missed and you will take action.
Traffic can come from many sources and we will start by taking advantage of ready made traffic platforms and marketplaces for super fast list building and making money very early.
Before we get ahead of ourselves though we need to take care of some basics and those are going to include adding marketing elements on the blog that I use to host all my landing and sales pages..
This is a crucial point for me as the traffic screenshots just from instabuilder pages screenshot below shows.
Traffic to landing and sales pages on the blog can lead to multiple pieces of my content being discovered and they are great for warming up the cold traffic to my blog post content and other products.
We also have multiple marketing elements on the site too for list building, making sales, push notifications and we will introduce multiple retargeting pixels for facebook, YouTube (adwords) and sitescout.
Over the past two days you have learned how to get ideas to create offers and yesterday you saw what the thematic funnel looks like after we have created the content for the free offers.
What you have seen is how I use the content I am working on now (Project 66) to drive traffic to the same Project66 content and encourage people to participate in the course.
You will have noticed that I actually used the free funnel content as a tease for Project66 case studies that we will be running, while I have incentivised this in multiple ways with additional high value freebies to make sure we lead people through that entire 4 step funnel, nudging them all the way through to getting the email whitelisted.
The landing pages are basic, they are minimal, they have just a few elements that I prefer to use such as video.
Video is a high value tool for me as…
- I can get my message out faster and better in a 5 minute video
- Let people know exactly what is being offered
- ...And also with the additional benefits of explaining about the case studies
- At the same time giving them a few nuggets along the way.
When people are on the list I have the ability to send them updates on those case studies which I know for sure will peak their interest.
The traffic strategies I gave them were not ground breaking but the results will be of more interest.
The 5 minute theme didn’t offer much scope for ninja traffic strategies, however the results will make people see that even with basic strategies that they most likely thought were obvious and not ground breaking does produce results that they know they can replicate.
That’s the time and the opportunity for me to reinforce the 5 minute efforts per day theme to make make more funnels with a similar theme and emphasize that scaling this up or at least doing it consistently will keep growth happening on a daily basis.
So with that in mind when we go and look at landing pages and funnel creation we have to plan in a way that allows us to scale it up fast.
The 5 minute theme can be used for more 5 minute traffic strategies, 5 minute list building strategies, 5 minute product creation etc. So scaling this up at speed is essential and the most time consuming part after content creation is the landing pages.
What we will do in today’s video, is create a complete skeleton funnel that we can duplicate and re-use any time we like, so that all we need to do each time is create an email list in aweber and record four videos and tweak some headlines so it's ready for traffic within minutes.
These days we are fortunate to have several tools that have ready made templates and this makes it super easy to do. In fact a skeleton funnel can take no more than 3 or 4 minutes and that’s important to scale at speed.
In my examples I will be using instabuilder. This is the fastest and easiest to use and it's a one time cost too. Profit builder would be good too, it has some great looking templates, but I just find instabuilder faster to work with and tend to stick with instabuilder for webinar and squeeze pages and thank you pages while using profit builder for higher quality sales pages.
Here are the export files for this exact funnel if you want to use for creating thematic funnels with instabuilder and you have just the basic version. If you have the pro version you don't need thee, it's faster to create the funnel with pro feature than import them.
How To Write Headlines That Convert Even If You Have Limited Copywriting Experience In Less Than 3 Minutes!
So let’s figure out how to create headlines that will convert using the R.O.T formula. I did think of doing a complete blog post on copy stuff but figured that using this simple formula will be less daunting than presenting you with a post that might make you feel daunted or overwhelmed.
The ROT formula is very simple to do and it works like this
R - Results
O - Objections
Results They’d Want – “Learn To Speak Spanish”
Objection – “Even If You Have Poor English Skills”
Time – “In 20 Days”
Going back to the 5 minute traffic hacks let’s use this exact formula to make a better headline for the optin page.
Results – “Get More Traffic”
Objection – “Even With A Limited Budget”
Time – “In Just 5 Minutes Per Day”
Simple, effective and easy to do and we can reverse the formula too but I will give you a link to a google doc with the details on how to do that here.
The final element of the landing pages is having the ability to build a list using an autoresponder service.
I personally use aweber and have since 2006 so I will be using that in the video below to create an email list for those who need a step by step visual guide.
However, as much as aweber is good enough I feel it hasn’t moved forward over the years and there is very little new features being added while there are emerging services with some very cool features that will save time, reduce costs and prevent people unsubscribing.
The most notable of these are Mailx which you need to sign up for an SMTP service and mailerlite which is more like aweber where they take care of the SMTP stuff.
I will be moving to mailerlite this week as it does one thing I REALLY like, it will automatically resend emails to non opens, that’s a major feature for me and a time saver at the same time.
The final piece of this Free funnel is to create facebook pixels for landing page and conversion pixels for the thank you pages.
Someone will be doing those videos later today or tomorrow latest and we can create a step by step screenshot guide for it too.
For adding links and tracking codes we can cover this later, it’s enough for you to take in and work on for now and we can look at the more advanced stuff in a few days.
Your actionable checklist for today’s tasks
